Moritz Grossmann in Glashütte

Luxury: In Glashtte, tenth sell my watch for cash brand - WirtschaftsWoche is full what news, quote:

Thus the Bavaria-born entrepreneur revived an old Glashütte brand, which ceased with the death of

Moritz Grossmann in 1885 what a stroke of luck for Bayern, that they could find even a company that

once existed in Glashütte, a company with a tradition so you can argue about the sense or nonsense of

reviving old brands Yes well, but certainly not bad for the site of Glashütte is an another watches

company.

Certainly the clock factory by Karl Moritz Grossmann has not the long tradition of other watch

manufacturers, but all the same, Mr Grossmann is the founder of the watchmaking school in Glashütte.

And soon, the Grandma of the first postman or Baker, also already a have owned watch, brings her own

collection out...

Can you really do set quality only at the site of the company? And what would happen if the "Count of

Monte strength of good taste" produced in Saxony living room as well? Are you suddenly too great?

For me, this is as far-fetched as the whole shebang of China hair.

MOMENT! And Wham! misunderstood... No way I want negative on the qualification of the Glashütte

watch companies or manufacturers speak, nor compare them with any Chinakloppern (inferior), but I

think a "Gardi" Glashütte is just better and sell more expensively than from somewhere in Bavaria.

Yes, well, thought early morning... just my two pennies, so OT isn't well again.

Only a Grossmann Bavaria?

Moritz Grossmann belongs to Glashütte as Lange, Schneider, Assmann and how they all were.

Grossmann BB´s performance was not only in establishing the Glashütter watchmaking school in 1878,

connected ia also big names such as Helwig or Gable.

1869 he submitted a price font in Geneva with the title: "treatise on the construction of a simple, but

mechanically perfect watch:"

He received a gold medal in this, and showed the world how to build the perfect, but yet affordable

watches.

It would be nice now if the new brand would focus on this price font.

Good watches with big names in the price segment from Nomos or mill.

But, I fear that the prices to settle are rather long and GO.

Also, I would bet that is sooner or later also a Tourbillon.

Silly here, however, that only a single Tourbillon is known by Grossmann.

But it was a demonstration model for the watchmaking school. (Collection Kellenberger, Winterthur/CH)

We wait for time, what's coming... Would be of course great to have a German counterpart to Le Locle,

Swiss, but I see that even so, that only a name was rediscovered without that there's an actual reference

to the origin of the brand or the quality standard.

And that there is at all no relationship to the family Gardner & co also this quote from the article linked

above shows

"My family had secured the naming rights after German reunification", company founder reported

Hutter"I consider a cluster formation à la optics cluster in Jena for desirable and of course hope to have

a real value added by Grossmann in Glashütte. If however confirm the already repeatedly expressed

fears and the location just for the sake of better marketing on glass works fell, it was very bad.

Unfortunately I found wasn't too much information about the managing director Christine Hutter.

According to an article from the Saxon newspaper she was Managing Director at Haute Horlogerie

Schindler in Zermatt - see [Note: the homepage of Haute Horlogerie Schindler is currently revised - see]
