I particularly like this image because it is so unusual that it perfectly blends into the abstract genre of photography. I also love the fact that it sort of gives off a unique feeling of intrigue and isolation.

This is one of my favourite images as it is such an unusual shadow that it makes the viewer question what exactly it might be or where it is. Furthermore, I think that it’s also a very perplexing picture because of the way that the light naturally pours into the building.

I just love this picture because I believe that it beautifully captures the ambience of such a simple object; a padlock. I also love the way that the light tints on the lockers as it mirrors the sunlight.

I love this image because it is so unusual to see an object like a mouse in suspension. Furthermore, it is a very rare and original picture to see as it isn’t the average type of thing that you would regularly see.

I love this image because it is rare to see a picture of someone taking a picture – it’s just an odd sight. So I thought that this photo perfectly captures the complexity of turning the camera back on the cameraman.

These 3 images are simple face portraits of Andrew, Will and I. I love the fact that each portrait has it’s own characteristic, in this case, Will is depicted as content, Andrew is grinning, and I look completely chilled and peaceful. It’s almost depicted in stark contrast to the three wise monkeys but in this case it is the complete opposite of "see no evil, hear no evil, speak no evil“ in a way.

★★★★★

This is my favourite image because I love the HD resolution and the retina display that shows the water droplets on the flower in crystal clear quality. I also think that it is a very beautiful image.

I like this image because I think that it is a good example of macro photography. However, if I could change it I would zoom in slightly as it would allow the viewer to see the insect in cleared detail.

I like this image because the lens focus allows the human eye to see the crisp quality of the flower and I think that the photo is also good because of the stark contrast in colour, from the surrounding blurry grey to the clear white.

This is one of my favourite images because it shows the bee in great detail and the simplicity of nature’s actions. I like the way it is also seen in black and white so that the focus is clearly on the bee.

I think this is a nice photo as the crane stands out amongst the surrounding buildings. It is quite a basic photo, so there’s nothing really special about it, but I just personally like the way the crane is high above it’s surroundings.

I like this photo because it is rare that you see such an up close view of a very strange object and the viewer is left wondering as to what it could be/used for. I like the fact that it is entirely down to the viewers imagination.

Page 19: Unit 9: Photography Techniques - Task 4 by Rory Giddings

I like this because it is such an odd and unique structure that stands out amongst its surroundings. If I could improve it I would like to make it a landscape orientation photo so that more surroundings can be seen in contrast to the object.

I like this image because it is an unusual architectural structure and I like how the sunlight bounces off the top.
