Active volcanoes

There are 500 volcanoes active in the world.They are active volcanoes it can erupt again.In Hawaii there is an active volcano. His name is Kilauea.Hawaii is growing bigger because of the Kilauea eruptions.Arenal is another active volcano in Costa Rica. It erupting since 1939.The tourists it goes to see the crater.

Dormant volcanoes

There are any dormant volcanoes in the world.Dormant volcanoes are sleeping.They can wake up and erupt.Mount Fuji is in Japan and is an dormant volcano.It no erupting since 1707.

Extinct volcanoes

There are extinct volcanoes in land and in water.Extinct volcanoes can’t erupt again.But sometimes it can erupt!Anatahan is an island in the Pacific.Scientist believed the volcano in the island was extinct, but on 11th May 2003 it erupt.The smoke was 12.200 meters!

Mount Vesuvius

Vesuvius is extinct volcano in Italy.It is famous because there was a terrible eruption in 79 a.d.The ash covered all city of Pompeii.Pompeii was a lost city.
