Top Prius c Three Advantages Over Fiesta SES
Small cars and small hybrids are becoming big news. A few years ago, who would have thought Ford would reintroduce the Euro-inspired Fiesta to American shores? Yet here it is, already in its second year. With fuel prices likely to stay high, small cars like Fiesta will likely stay near the top of many shoppers’ lists.
Now Fiesta has a new challenger: Prius c, the newest member of the Prius family. It brings Prius heritage and Toyota innovation to the small hybrid sector, bringing advantages Fiesta cannot match. Read on to see how Prius c is the new pacesetter of the class.
PRIUS HERITAGE Prius c brings traditional Prius virtues to a new class of vehicle. You can expect all the efficient design and economical operation the Prius reputation promises.
Outstanding mpg estimate Prius c is among the most fuel-efficient cars on the market. Its mpg estimates are significantly better than Fiesta’s.
Lower curb weight Weight is an enemy of efficiency, so Prius c is in fighting trim. Fiesta carries extra weight, which affects performance and economy.
Toyota Care Adding to Prius c’s economical operation is Toyota Care, Toyota’s complimentary maintenance plan. Ford doesn’t offer such a plan.
SOPHISTICATED CLIMATE CONTROL Prius c Three has sophisticated features normally found only on much larger cars.
Automatic climate control Prius c Three owners enjoy the luxury of automatic climate control. Fiesta owners have only manual air conditioning and heating.
Steering-wheel-mounted HVAC controls Prius c Three drivers enjoy quick-access controls for some HVAC functions, right on the steering wheel. Fiesta drivers are out of luck.
ADVANCED TECHNOLOGY Prius c Three has advanced technology to keep you connected while on the road and make your driving experience easier and more enjoyable.
Touch Tracer Help keep your eyes closer to the road with this innovative display of steering-wheel-mounted controls. Fiesta doesn’t have this feature.
Display Audio with Navigation and Entune™ Entune on Prius c Three is among the most sophisticated in-car communications systems available. Ford’s SYNC® doesn’t offer the same features.
Smart Key and Push Button Start Enjoy the convenience of keyless door unlocking, standard on Prius c Three. On Fiesta, it’s an extra- cost item.
NIMBLE DESIGN Cars in this class work especially well in the city, where traffic is thicker and parking spaces tighter. Prius c Three has distinct advantages in some measures.
Tighter turning circle Prius c’s tight turning circle makes it a snap to maneuver in and out of parking spaces, garages and rush-hour traffic. Fiesta? Not so much.
Shorter length Some drivers may find “placing” Prius c to be easier than Fiesta because of Prius c’s shorter length.

Tighter turning circlePrius c’s smaller turning circle can make it easier to slip in and out of small parking spaces. Other times, it may allow the driver to make a U-turn instead of a three-point turn. Fiesta’s turning circle is larger, possibly hindering tight turns.
Shorter lengthAnother key to Prius c’s excellent maneuverability is its overall length, which is shorter than its challenger’s. This may make a difference in parallel parking or changing lanes.

Lower curb weightAnother Prius hallmark is efficiency, and one aspect of this is curb weight. Toyota hones and refines every part of a Prius, always looking for ways to save weight and materials. The result shows in Prius c’s light weight, including its batteries.
