The 2015 Subaru WRX

se in North America, the Subaru Impreza WRX has been a popular choise for aftermarket parts and performance mods.

Over the years, not much has changed. This is for good reason - the WRX is a top seller and a very dependable platform when modded.

It's simple to see why it's so popular. It has a powerful turbocharged engine, all-wheel drive drivetrain, and sporty off-road capable suspension. Three traits that make it a fun car to

drive year round.

But beginning in 2015, the new Subaru WRX will see one major change. It has the automotive world voicing their concern, and rightfully so. The new Subaru WRX will replace the original EJ series motor seen in previous versions with a

new FA20DIT powerplant.

But fret not my automotive enthusiast friends, the FA20DIT will produce 268hp and 258lb-ft of torque. The new 2015 WRX will remain turbocharged from the factory. Albeit relocated to the front of the bay and sporting a twin-scroll setup, it remains true to it's performance roots, and that is relieving to

say the least.

It's far from sluggish as well. The 6-speed manual shift version of the 2015 Subaru WRX run the quarter mile in a little over 13 seconds with a 0-60 spec of 4.8 seconds,

all while getting over 25 miles per gallon.

Other features are available including an optional STi package. If you're not ready to spring the extra cash for the full STi, certain pieces can be installed by the dealer

to accomodate your needs. Such pleasantries include STi wheels and short throw shifters.

We're excited to see what this platform can produce one it's been modded. Older generations of the WRX

are very welcoming to aftermarket parts, and the 2015 WRX seems like it will follow suit with the others.
