Wayside amenities. Self-made. Darcl pilots find a tree shade on the State highway in Uttar Pradesh to cook and eat their mutton curry. Can’t afford daily eating out even at truckers’ dhabas!
Gladly receive gifts from company…
No, no…. This is not owned by Darcl. But the owner has a close association with the company and knows pilots very well. This is another popular hangout of Darcl pilots on their Jamshedpur-Faridabad sorties. They halt, rest and eat at this joint. Honestly after seeing Jeet Dhaba, everything else appears less appealing!
Last meal of the trip at Etawah. Subhajit Chatterjee, Darcl Dada, asks for fish curry-rice, without realizing that the dhaba is owned by a Rajasthani and strictly no non-vegegtarian items! Dada settles for boondi raita, daal and rice. Extra platesof green salad!
One last bump inwith Darcl parivarnear Agra…
The last sunset of this 1.400 km, 8 day Jamshedpur-Delhi road trip….
Not a lollipop moment. Tough it was. But the mood waspositive. Attitude was positive. Where there is a will, there is a way, isn’t it?
No trip would be complete or successful without key drivers: we mean our own saratis….The Bengali babu, Ashish Chatterjee, shepherded us in his Tata Safari on the Jamshedpur-Benares leg for the first six days. On the Benares-Delhi leg, it was Mohan Shuklaji with his Innova. Tks, Chatterjee & Shuklaji!
Journeys, for me, never end. Hence, my packs remain unpacked for the NEXT journey….…Thanks, Darcl Team! Thanks, ‘Sel’’van Dasaraj!
