The engine

The engine is the force that, Drives the car on.From morning to night,From dusk to dawn. As long as it has gas and air,The power and the force are there. All the cylinders going up and down. The camshaft and crankshaft keep turning around. The engine is a perfect friend.Because it goes on until the end.

SportsmanshipWhen you enjoy the bliss of winning,Don't just stand there, happily grinning,Because the ones around you will feel bad.Just think if you switched places,Then look what's on their faces,Then you would be the one who's feeling sad.Shake hands with them; tell them it's okay,They may win some other day.Being a good sport is the way to be.Make them laugh, make them smile,You should go that extra mile.Say, "Someday, you'll be just like me.“By: Joey Dille

Oh well

When you lose the race.Don't try to hide your face.Even if the others do sneer.Watch your eyes.Try not to cry.Not even the tiniest tear.Don't let them under your skin.Hey, you can't always win.You might just be having a bad day.Just forget about them all. It's not your fault you hit the wall.Things cannot always go your way.

Your motor is roaring and your adrenaline is soaring.

You watch with your eyes for the green flag to fly.

Your blood starts pumping and your heart is thumping.

Your foot's on the gas, turning left and driving fast.

Red clay and clouds of dust roll through the air and man what a rush!

Here it comes you're taking the lead, going for a pass and picking up speed.

Now just like that, the white flag is thrown, meaning there is only one lap to go.

This is your chance, it's your time to shine, you take the checkered flag as you cross the finish line!

You're on top of the world now, waited all week for this. It's Saturday night racing, something you don't want to miss!By: Tia White
