Project Process Selection
Manufacturing process sequence
2.1 What is your primary process? Why did you choose this process?
Primary process is Wire drawing because we want to create a structure for each part. Before increase the strength.
• What is your secondary process? Why did you choose this process?
Similar hand lay-up process. It is The resin applied by hand. Wire frame covered with a cloth before applying resin stents to increase the strength.
• What is your tertiary process? Why did you choose this process?
Circuit process because the speaker must be connected to a battery source.
The assembly process by gluing.
And painting for decorate.
Because it is the process to assemble a complete piece of work.
2.2 Product function
With your selected material, how is your material compatible with
product geometry and manufacturing processes?
The resin material is selected which this resin is a polymer that is used to increase the stiffness of the structure of Labour.By making a wire frame, then use a shawl. Next, use the resin coating the surface.
It is easy to make different shapes.
What is the normal applied load to the material? Can your material take such load?
Because our products without a key chain. It was a impact for some time. So these materials are strong enough. Because plastic resins properties have high strength. Impact resistance as well.When it can’t changes shape when it hardens and forms a shape.
What is the normal ambient conditions to your material?
• We do not produce material for a particular load.It usually only hanging bag.But what should be a circuit which is to be fully engaged with the material for durability.
With your selected manufacturing process, how is your process compatible with the product
geometry?
The selection process for a piece of the curve. The shape depends on the bending wire into different shapes.
- Show a calculation to obtain the total cost per part of your product
• Total manufacturing cost (TMC) = Material (M) + Tooling (T) + Processing (P)
• Material (M)
•
• cw = material cost per unit weight
• wp = weight of finished part
• ww= weight of wasted material, scrap
• a = ratio of wasted material weight / finished weight
• = ww / wp
• Then the material cost per part, cM is
cM = cw wp (1+ a)
a= Ww/Wp=0.01kg/0.25=0.04
cM = (100 bath/kg)x(0.25kg/part)x(1+0.04)
= 26 bath/part (head and body)
Steel wire head 2 bath
Body 10 bath
Legs 3 bath total =15
So Material (M) cost= 26+15= 41 bath
And Other devicesLoudspeaker 50 bathFlashlight 30 bath
Battery 20 bath
Total manufacturing cost (TMC) = 41+50+30+20 bath= 141 bath
