What is a Content

Repository?

• A content repository is a store of digital

content with an associated set of data

management, search and access methods

allowing application-independent access to

the content, rather like a digital library, but

with the ability to store and modify content

in addition to searching and retrieving. –

What is Document

Versioning?

• Document Versioning refers to the ability to

capture each iteration of a document as it

changes over its lifetime.

• If enabled, each time a document is edited

in Contract Management a new document

version is created.

• This allows for a full audit trail of document

changes.

Installing…

• Within Internet

Information

Services (IIS)

Manager on the

SharePoint Server,

right-click on

“Sites” and choose

“Add Web Site…”.

Installing…

• Enter a Site name,

i.e. – PCM.

• Choose a physical

path for the

Content Directory.

• Select an unused

TCP Port.

Installing…

• Run the

SharePoint

Connector Installer.

• Choose the new

Website and

Application Pool

we just created.

Installing…

• Modify the firewall

on the SharePoint

server to allow

traffic to the new

website if needed.

• Test the web

services by

browsing to new

website.
