Invitation: What could you do to ensure life was “solitary, poor, nasty, brutish + short”?

1. ALONE : Write down everything you could do (strategies, behaviors) to reliably guarantee that life would turn out according to Hobbes’ description – individual behaviors on post-its

(2 minutes)

2. PAIRS :: Share your list of behaviors with one other person – what more could you do?

(2 minutes)

3. QUARTETS ::: Be seriously playful – how else might you ensure the worst-possible life?

(4 minutes)

4. EVERYONE :::: Place post-its on wall at front of room and start noticing patterns together – affinity group like behaviors + actions

(4 minutes)
