File size and type configurations Restrict size of files uploaded
The Setup Manager can restrict the type of files that can be added by specifying the restricted file extensions in the Manager Panel Global Setup. Different restrictions can be placed at the order/quote header and line level.
The file size of the attachments is restricted via the Manager Panel. It is important to define the maximum size of the files that can be attached to an order to ensure web security, and avoid the possibility of the web store collapsing completely due to huge file sizes.

Attach files from the web store product display pageSometimes there are products that require documentation, legal or otherwise, from the shopper before he can purchase them. For example, age proof, licenses etc. The ‘Attach Files’ product detail HMTL template fulfills this special requirement and restricts the shopper from adding such items to his cart until he attaches the file. Merchants can put such orders on hold and release them for fulfillment once they have verified the uploaded file.

Available on mobile store It is also possible to attach files to an order when purchasing using a mobile device. The customers upload files to individual items in their shopping carts before checkout. These are available to the CSR in the Manager Panel and to the shopper in his self service account on the web store.

A maximum of 5 files per shopping cart item are allowed. The type of file extensions that may be attached and their size may be restricted in the interest of the web store’s security.
The Manager Panel allows the CSR to add files to a sales order or sales quote he creates for a shopper. CSRs can also attach files while using ‘in-store edit’ to add special products. The order record in the Manager Panel has been enhanced with an Attachment tab, where the CSR can view the added attachments or add new ones.
