Analyses & Engineering
Together with a close cooperation with our partners we are able to give a complete development work for packaging projects including supply chain analyses. Having control of the whole chain from product design, tooling manufacturing to an efficient production and with the full support from the Boxon organisation we are able to deliver the projects with short lead times and high service level.
TRIP COST ANALYSE FOR A FLOW
We always starting up a new case by making a trip cost analyse for a flow. Measuring for different packaging alternatives evaluating:
• Packaging cost
• Transport cost
• Handling
• Administration
The total trip cost per sent part gives a good base for taking the right decision for the packaging investments.

With our knowledge about engineering, analyses and production techniques we are able to deliver an alternative solution that will be something outside

More parts/packaging units means:
1. Lower packaging material cost2. Better transport utilisation3. Less packaging to handle4. Space in warehouse and production5. A positive environmental impact
The single most important variable for lowering total cost in the supply chain is packaging filling ratio.…..
2. OPTIMISING FILLING RATIO
We have proved in many cases that we with our special packaging solutions are able to increase the filling ratio with more than 50% on a pallet .
FRAME TRAYS
• Parts packed in expandable or durable injection moulded trays. Parts secured from movements and no weight transformation through parts.
• Together with lids handling units are packed similar to standard boxes but with a dramatic increase of filling ratio.
1. IS STANDARD PACKAGING NEEDED?
• Parts packed in a very secure way (with or without external packaging)
• Normally gives an increased number of parts per pallet
• Nestable trays gives efficient return shipments
• Makes the handling easier for the operators
INJECTION MOULDED FULL PALLET SIZED TRAYS
• Boxon developed and supplied an injection moulded collapsible box
• Benefits: one trip with the durable box is around 30% lower that the cost for card board
RETAIL DISTRIBUTION: LINDEX CASE
NESTABLE PLASTIC LOADING PLATFORM & LID
“…….using this type of nestable plastic pallet it would
mean that instead of 5 delivered full truck loads of wooden
pallet you would get one truck with clean pallets that is very
optimal for storage and distribution.”
