Navigation• Is our jobs/careers section easily found from the home
page? Is it prominent and eye catching?
• Is navigation to the jobs/career section available from every page of the website?
• How many clicks are there between the home page and the search functionality? Goal = 1, but never more than 2-3
• Is the site navigation consistent throughout the site? Can I easily navigate back to the home page?

Ideally, you always want new pages to open inside the current window.

Functionality• Is our job search functionality easy to use? Does it offer the
options that are best for our job seekers?
• Does our site include a refer-a-friend function? Most importantly, is it available from every page?
• Does our site include a “job alert agent” so our visitors may register for updates to available opportunities?
• Do we have social networking tools integrated to make it easy for visitors to share opportunities with others?
• Is our site easily bookmarked?
• Do we offer resume parsing and extraction? According to Monster.com, visitor to applicant conversion goes up as much as 20%
with the inclusion of parsing.

videos or games?
• Is it possible for an applicant to return to our site to receive updates via a portal?
• Do we have any tracking/metrics tools to help us understand our site visitors and evaluate changes we make to the site?
• Is our application process user-friendly and applicant-focused?
