What is a magazine:

Magazines may be referred to as press publications because articles are often written by journalists, who gather information from various sources and synthesize it into their stories or reports.

Although a journalist may specialize in a particular type of reporting, journalists are not usually scholars. The audience for articles in magazines is usually the general public.

Articles in magazines are often a good way to gain an overview of your topic, but will seldom give full information on where the author found the information included. That is, a bibliography of sources is generally not included.

Why read magazines:

Reading magazines is normally a good use of

entertainment or public learning. Magazines are

designed as reading sources but over the years they have changed dramatically in to

entertainment and gossip sources. The main

examples are:

To Learn

To be entertained

My Magazine:

I will be designing a Magazine which will

Competitors:

These three magazines are the biggest on the

market currently (2015). Their front covers include

a main image which stands outs from the rest.

They also include the biggest and most featured

articles on the covers.

Personnel:

Steve Akoi & Barely Alive are the two

model which will be used in images. Due

to photographic problems I can not take

these pictures. Therefore I have been

given permission to use these in my

personal project by the artists them

selves. The front cover will be an image I

have taken.

Planning images:

For my magazines front cover I will be

using a 600D. The image will have to be

cut out to make it easier I will be using a

green screen for the foreground.

Once the image has been taking I will

import it in to Photoshop and remove the

green area. I will then be left with a cut

out which I can place on the front cover.
