INTERMITTENT COOLING STARTING DATE
• In order to conserve energy and comply with Command Policy #200, USAG-J Energy and Water Conservation Policy, an intermittent cooling period is implemented prior to transitioning into heating season effective 9 October 2012. This initiative will be implemented for at least two (2) weeks until 22 October 2012 depending on weather and temperature.
• Intermittent cooling (air conditioning service) will continue throughout USAG-J as long as outside heat index is 76 degrees Fahrenheit during day for 5 days.
• During evening hours cooling will continue if temperature is at or above 74 degrees Fahrenheit. Cooling will be discontinued when temperatures fall below above described criteria (4th week October 2012).
INTERMITTENT COOLING STARTING DATE
• Daily temperature will be monitored hourly to effectively implement this energy conservation initiative.
• The only facilities that will continue to have cooling during this period will be: The Exchange, Camp Zama Community Club, FMWR CDCs, MEDDAC, and DODEA Schools.

HOUSING MANAGEMENT DIVISIONSYNCHRONIZATION MEETING
Sagamihara Family Housing Move Synchronization Meeting
On 26 Sep, briefing provided at Town hall meeting at Exchange Theater in SFHA to 35 affected Families to explain impending moves from 400/600 block to newly completed housing area.
HOUSING MANAGEMENT DIVISIONSYNCHRONIZATION MEETING
Feedback from Town Hall meeting Occupants
1.Positives
a.More than 95% Ph2B Occupants were in attendance
b.Occupants liked the idea of, having some housing location options, and the possibility of residing near old neighbors again
c. Happy about; being allowed to move/replant flowers and plants from their old to their new quarters, no pre-move inspection, minimal cleaning required for final inspection
d. Most quarters will have new furniture provided before move in
HOUSING MANAGEMENT DIVISIONSYNCHRONIZATION MEETING
2. Negatives a.Some occupants had internet service other than Allied Telesis, they wish to maintain contract with existing internet provider (stating faster service and lower price) b.A question was asked about the number of days off from work (moving days) that are authorized for this type of move. Response from Civ Personnel did not give a specific amount of time, this appearsto have some supervisor discretion involved c.Lack of adequate storage in new houses or other houses where they may be residing
HOUSING MANAGEMENT DIVISIONSYNCHRONIZATION MEETING
NOTE:
MWR has begun the process of purchasing additional storage PODS. 19 sheds for SHA and 20 Sheds at CZ, it will take 6 months to complete process.
Also, MWR is asking its customers to limit the number of storage sheds that each one occupies, those with more than one shed rental will be asked to vacate the additional sheds to make them available for equitable distribution.
Additionally HMD is exploring avenues to acquire exterior storage sheds.
