Toxic waste became a issue in the Industrial Revolution

They burry Toxic Waste in the ground in sealed drums then cover them with hard soil and clay

Some people dump Toxic Waste in local dumps to avoid the fee that you have to pay for going to a landfill

Toxic Waste can be found in your household such as old batteries, computers, and pesticide

LESSON LEARNED

I learned that some people shouldn’t buy some types of fertilizer because sometimes they have a lot of metal and could infect crops and make people sick. Toxic Waste is so bad that the handlers have to wear protective suits to protect themselves. Toxic Waste leaves the factories in the form of smoke and can infect water. Toxic Waste can also be in the form of fumes in your house such as carbon monoxide.

SPREADING THE WORD

o To spread the word I could go to the library and hand out flyers.

o I could make a banner and then ask to hang it on the front of Haine middle school.

o I could put up a youtube video about it.

MY PLEDGE

I pledge to not throw away spray cans because it could hurt the environment I will also try and spread the word about toxic waste so people are more aware of its harmful effects

Finally I am going to recycle tohelp the earth
