SharePoint Health Assessments Our health assessment process is designed to ensure your SharePoint environment is in optimal operating condition and following Microsoft best practices. Over Use Cases Neglected Systems We have seen numerous issues with systems that were put into place and then not properly maintained (lack of time, personnel or resources to maintain patching levels, security patches etc). Almost every client we audit turns up issues that should be addressed or remediated! Search Issues / Scaling We have seen issues were search has been underperforming, and needs to be resized to meet current environment needs. These issues do not show up on monitoring, and require an experienced resource to review system logs to determine what the appropriate disk sizing for a search farm should be and configure it appropriately. This can only be determined using powershell to extract reporting information on the search health. Migration Planning If you are looking to migrate to either SP 2016 on premises, or SharePoint Online, then you need to review your current state. The information we gather in an audit/assessment can be used to help appropriately size the migration effort. Upgrading and Microsoft Support On systems that are out of date, you run the risk of prolonged outages, if you have to first upgrade your system before addressing an issue. One of the first steps for Microsoft Support is to bring a system up to date before addressing an issue. This can cause a major delay and increase the risk of creating additional issues.
