CSR is one of Australia’s largest building material companies, a trusted and recognised brand providing building products for residential and
commercial construction. CSR is committed to sustainable practices throughout all their business units.
CSR’s Gyprock Manufacturing plant, located in Coopers Plains Brisbane, produces plasterboard, cornice and plastering compounds for the
Queensland and Australian market. The plant was keen to find ways to reduce their electricity costs, with an average electricity bill of over $50,000
each month. Through the Energex Business program and working with Bradford energy solutions, CSR were able to identify significant areas for
permanent load reduction and energy savings.

“We heard about the program through an industry partner and were keen to benefit from the available incentives and assistance to reduce our impact
on Peak Demand. The program made sense to be involved in and was a very efficient and easy application process.
There was far less red tape then similar schemes offered in other states. We saw a real benefit in participating; you are supported to reduce demand
and there is tangible outcomes for us and Energex.
It is a forward thinking scheme to reduce further network expansion/cost, it just makes sense.“
