Profile As a Health and Safety, Fire & Environmental specialist key to business performance is staff induction and training in safe working practices, behavioural safety being a key factor in addressing accident reduction, increased productivity and thus reduced litigation. Fox Health & Safety Services – Temp Health & Safety Advisor – 21 Nov – 4 Dec 2016 Working as part of a Health and Safety Team on Jaguar/ Land Rover 300-acre site at Gate D1. Supervising contractors engaged in construction projects under CDM 2015. Fox Health & Safety Services are Principle Contractor to a number of projects. Independent Group (UK) Ltd – Temporary HSE Advisor – 21 Sept 2016 – 2 Nov 2016 Independent Group (UK) Ltd is a market leading provider of claims validation, management and fulfilment services on behalf of the UK’s leading insurance companies and has recently integrated Ansa Group, Independent Inspections Ltd., Home & Comforts and Chem-Dry companies, all centrally located in Preston, Lancashire. Working (standalone position) with Ansa and Chem-Dry though representing Group to update policies and procedures, risk assessments, method statements, COSHH assessments, PUWER assessments and acting as sole group HSE advise for 500+ staff. Completed a number of site audits and successfully re-instated a CHAS application for Chem-Dry. Romero Insurance Brokers Ltd – HEALTH & SAFETY ADVISOR - 4 Feb – 19 Sept 2013 Expanding Independent insurance company based in Leeds, within top 50 UK companies having won varies national insurance awards. Boasts one stop service offering both insurance and risk management services to SME’s and large multi-national companies. Within the risk management team I serviced insurance clients with Fire, Health and Safety services. Working across varies industries included offices, commercial property, housing management, distribution centres, manufacturing, food chains and construction. Attended CDM sites, undertaking site audits, RAMS reviewing property maintenance and refurbishments, validating documentation, addressing issues with site managers and contractors, I was the external source of competent advice for a case load in excess of 30 clients some multi-sites, a number CHAS, ISO 9001, OHSAS 18001 & 14001 accredited. I have assisted with accreditations process. I supported residents; named keyworker, formulate individual support plans and risk assessments, set SMART objectives, signpost residents to appropriate services, liaised with external multi-agency professionals including law enforcement. I was given additional responsibility for health and safety and fire safety for the last 8 years of employment. Key Achievements:

Shift leading a small team of staff on a rotating basis.

Instrumental in fostering a health and safety culture within the hostel.

Trained local project staff in basic Health and Safety, Fire Safety and new staff inductions. Sometimes other

project training within the Trust.

Chaired local resident health and safety meeting and member of national committee.
