PEO Focused David  Carothers  has more  than  30  years  of  broad‐based experience  in risk management, safety, human resources, business operations and is the co‐founder of Praxiom Risk Management.  Dave uses his depth of expertise to develop and  deliver  creative  cutting  edge,  pragmatic  risk management and insurance solutions for Praxiom clients.  Dave  has  spent  the  past  ten  years  in  the  PEO  industry.  Dave  developed  and  operated  the  risk  management platform  for  a  large,  Florida  based  national  PEO  for  five years.  He  successfully managed a one million deductible workers  compensation  program  to  a  very  profitable  loss 

ratio  through  the  use  of  careful  underwriting,  focused  loss  control,  and  aggressive claims management.    Praxiom has continued to remain active  in the PEO  industry serving over a dozen PEO clients.   Praxiom  provides  solutions  that  range  from  outsourced  risk  management (underwriting,  loss  control,  policy  administration,  and  claims management)  to  design and placement of  insurance programs. Dave was an original member  (and  remains an active member) of the Workers Compensation Certification Institute Advisory Board.  He has also served on conference planning committees, presented at NAPEO conferences, and authored several articles for the PEO Insider.  Prior to entering the PEO  industry, Dave served as Vice President of Human Resources and Administration for U.S. Aggregates, and was the first Director of Risk Management for LifeStyle Furnishings International in High Point, NC.  Dave  earned  a  Bachelor’s  degree  in  Business  Administration  from  Baldwin‐Wallace College. He has also earned recognition as a Certified Safety Professional from the Board of  Certified  Safety  Professionals  and  as  an  Associate  in  Risk management  from  the Insurance Institute of America.  He is a licensed property/casualty agent.  Dave  and  his wife,  Karen,  have  three  children  and  four  grandchildren  and  reside  in Lithia, Florida.
