Design italiano storico e contemporaneo.

The Italian way, il modo italiano.

Design the Italian excellence. Is the concept of the in progress-exhibition curated by Vincenzo Basile (Basile Arteco), specially planned for the Baglioni Hotels spa group, in the renovated venue of the Nuovo Caffe’ Baglioni inside the Carlton Hotel Baglioni in Milan.

Twelve wooden glasscase will become the stage for temporary exhibitions of unique objects characterised by projectual research, esperimentation and precious and rare realizations of Design.

Italian historical and contemporary Design.Masters Ettore Sottsass, Enzo Mari, Ugo La Pietra and the Italian young Designer Chiara Andreatti have been selected for the first exhibition. The new generation’s young Designers working on the Italian and international scene, the New Masters and the Great Masters of Design will be the protagonists.

The continuity of a story that links the Italian “fare” - make - to the artisans’ skill and enterprises of excellence bent on the future, showing the strong links, never interrupted, between our history and the new approach, and the research of a new and vital season of creativity and avantguard of the Italian Design that is, these days, alive, and thriving.

The high quality and the authenticity of the relationship between people, the fairness and ethics, that develop quality and value, the skills in realizing “excellence”, the traditional craftmanship and the continuous innovation, the culture, these are the characteristics and the eternal values that identify the Italian style, a way of working, a way of managing the relationships, and of living them.

Il modo italiano, the Italian way.

A universe of professional and skilled people who create a world of relations and express a unique quality, respectful of their professionality, and, at the same time, friendship and regard, in a country that is unique in the world, in its inimitable realities.

The venue, renovated by the Milanese studio Rebosio+Spagnulo reveals the presence of Contemporary Design through the exhibition of projects by Authors especially chosen by Vincenzo Basile (Basile Arteco) for this prestigious location and for the Italian group Baglioni Hotels that represents the excellence in the world of the Luxury Hotellerie, Ambassador of the Italian way in the world.

The exhibits will tell stories of people, work, relations, exchanges, and new chapters of an uninterrupted tale, always new, and surprising. They will show the attention, the interest in Design, in the project, in the quality that link products and services of excellence to a modern conception of entrepreneurs, and their operating in a social context that is unique, today’s Italy, a Country in continuous renewal.
