The theme of conference “Project Management – Bringing Certainty in Uncertain Times” rightly blended with its core objective of identifying new means to generate a positive outcome with limited resources. It provided an opportunity for over 1000 Project Management Practitioners across industries, government, academia, NGOs etc to exchange ideas on the challenges and emerging trends in projects that were contributing to local and global objectives. The two-day event emphasized on the roles played by Project Management in modelling the economy. The progression of the conference led to the inaugural address by the eminent Mr Bhaskar Pramanik (Chairman, Microsoft India). Keynote sessions were addressed by Deep Karla (Founder and Group CEO, MakeMyTrip.com), Craig Killough (VP, Organization Markets), Vishal Bali (Group CEO, Fortis Healthcare), Arun Maira (Member, Planning Commission of India), Mahesh Bhatt (Eminent Film Producer, Director and Writer) and Swami Sukhabodhananda (Corporate Guru). Apart from these prominent dignitaries, several other notable heavyweights grabbed the cynosure. The highlight of the event, however, was the panel discussion helmed by government officials and corporate delegates on ‘e-governance and public empowerment – fiction or reality’ and ‘managing uncertainties in project’, respectively. Amidst the subsequent sessions, PMI also recognized the distinguished performance and remarkable contributions by project managers. For more information, visit www.pmi.org.in
