By a whole A4 side of the double page spread being an image of Katy Perry it instantly shows the reader who the article is about. By Katy being in the pose she is in with her fists up it shows a masculine side to her however with her being in high waist shorts and a bra top it also portrays a feminine side to her. With the image also being in black and white it shows a classy, traditional side to the singer.

The title on this double page spread ‘Girl Girl Girl’. This ties in with the artist’s first single which made her break into mainstream music ‘I kissed a girl’. Another small title is then shown underneath that of the artist’s name ‘Katy Perry’ underlines in pink which ties in with the magazines house style and colour scheme of bright colours such as pink, blue, black, white and red. The title’s are wrote in sans serif fonts which portrays a fun, modern side to the magazine and the artist.

The title on this double page spread is simply the artist’s name ‘Lady GAGA’. The word ‘lady’ is written in lower case serif font and ‘GAGA’ wrote in uppercase sans serif font. This portrays to the reader that she stands out and ‘breaks the mould’ as she has both types of font in both upper and lower case. By the artists name being the title is shows immediately who the article is about.

By one half of the double page spread simply being an image of the artist is shows who the article is about. With the image being black and white is portrays a traditional, old-fashioned, classy side to the artist however by her wearing no top and having her hands and chains over her breasts it makes the image quite seductive which shows there are different sides to her.

The colour scheme of the double page spread is the same as the magazines usual house style; red, black and white. This ties in with the whole magazines image as well as the traditional ‘rock/indie’ image.

A large red ‘L’ is used as a watermark across the whole page. The ‘L’ ties in with the artist as well as the colour red anchoring in the usual house style of Q magazine.
