When you have your image ready on Photoshop. Before starting press ‘alt’ and scroll to zoom in on the part of the face you want to add make up to.
Select the colour tool at the bottom of the toolbar. Whichever colour you want to lips to be it is important that you pick a really dark option of that colour, Which I have shown my example of. I wanted her lips to be red so therefore I chose a really dark red to use.
Don’t forget to create a new layer! Just in case of any mistakes made.
Select the brush tool again and this time change the consistency to the bold brush type to get a nicer lipstick look.
Using the brush tool colour both lips in carefully, try not to go too much onto the teeth or around the mouth. Keep changing the size of the brush to fit the lip shape using ‘[‘ to make it smaller and ‘]’ to make it bigger.
After you have coloured in both lips you then go to the arrow near ‘normal’ and choose ‘soft light’ again, making the lips a nice red colour.
If you make any mistakes then use the eraser to rub out any bits of ‘lipstick’ that are either on the models teeth or around her lips. This makes it look more realistic and professional.
To make my model pale. First I selected the colour option at the bottom of the toolbar and clicked the whitest colour that was right in the top left corner of the colour options.
I also created a new layer because layer one is the lipstick I have just demonstrated how to do.
I then selected the brush tool and chose the blurred brush again.
I then painted all showing parts of skin in the white colour, not going over the eyes because it would make them a dull colour if I did.
Next I changed the colour to ‘Soft Light’ which clearly shows the difference in skin colour making her look a lot more pale.
Finally I selected the ‘Opacity’ option and turned it down to 43% making her skin tone look more realistic compared to the previous slide. That is my finished make up and skin tone transformation.
