The Housing Foundation needs a consistent and dependableThe Housing Foundation needs a consistent and dependablestream of income to secure the financing necessary to designand renovate the house.

Beta Nu has set a goal of 80 active monthly contributorsdonating an average of $32 per month. This level of financingwill generate:

Not immediately. Neither Beta NuGives Back nor the Beta NuAlumni Housing Foundation, Inc. are501 c(3) organizations. Therefore donations would not be tax deductible as of today. The Beta NuAlumni Housing Foundation is securing the services of a law firm to facilitate the document filingsrequired to receive the 501c(3) status.

The IRS tax exemption is expected bymid year 2012. However your donations given in 2011 may bedeductible based on our success with the IRS Filing.This Process has started.

When the IRS tax exemption is granted Brothers may redirect contributions toward it,making them tax deductible.

Two levels of involvement have been established and will be members recognized during the80th Anniversary celebration in 2012. However, it should be noted that records of allcontributions will be kept and turned over to theChapter historian. Any brother who wishes hiscontributions to remain anonymous may elect to do so.y y

FoundationMembers: Brothers who are active contributors to the chapter at the $15 to $32level for 12 months or more will have their name engraved displayed on a plaque in the houseas official members of The Beta NuAlumni Foundation.

TheChapmanClub�– Brothers who contribute at the $32 dollar per month level or more for 12months or more will have their name engraved and line information displayed on a plaqueoutside the house as officials members of the ChapmanClub. ChapmanClub Members willp preceive also receive a commemorative shirt in thanks for their contribution.

Th F d ti h d th i f hit t t b i thThe Foundation has engaged the services of an architect to begin theconstruction drawings for the project, with goal of going to permit by midJanuary.A contractor has been hired and has provided preliminary estimates of $60 65Kp p y 5for the complete projectThe 501(c)3 process has started.We anticipate making application to the IRS bythe end of the year. Contributions should be tax deductible based on approval ofthe applicationthe application.The Foundation is reorganizing and formalizing new bylaws and missionstatements. It is essential that chapter charity and scholarships flow through thefoundation. This will ensure the viability of the 501(c) 3 status.The Foundation currently has approximately $6K in cash, $2K of which isreserved for property taxes.
