Final Opening Sequence Script

EXT. Family home - Late evening

An establishing shot of the front of the house in late evening. It

is a quiet night and there is nobody around.

INT. The living room - Late evening

The scene starts of with a teenage girl sat watching tv in the

middle of the night.

TV:-this is the 2nd murder, in the last week. The 19 year old female

has yet to be identified, her family have been informed.

she walks to the kitchen.

INT. The kitchen- late evening

she walks to the kitchen and grabs something to eat, a pear

perhaps,and a drink. she then goes back to the tv but (the music

builds to a point of tension) she trips and spills the drink. As she

goes to the bedroom to change her moist clothes, she hears

scratching at the bathroom door she slowly creeps towards the door

and jerks the door open and (music builds up) a cat runs out. she

sighs with relief

INT. The Hall- late night

she walks through the hall whistling to herself when she sees the

lights are of in the rest of the house. She attempts to switch the

light switch but the lights do not go on. Suddenly a THUD comes from

upstairs. Annoyed she says “what is that stupid cat up to now?” so

she grabs a flashlight from some nearby drawers and heads down the

hall towards the stairs

INT. The Stairs- late night

As she reaches the stairs she calls out the name of her cat but

nothing happens. Before she could step up the first step she

accidently drops her flashlight. She bends over to pick it up and

and as she picks it up the light focuses up the stairs and we see a

cloaked figure holding a blade. Before she could fully stand up from

picking up the flashlight she sees the figure and slowly turns to

look up the stairs. She screams and starts running towards the door,

phone in one hand and flashlight in the other. She starts dialling

999 but before she could press enter she falls due to being stabbed

in the back. as she's lying on the floor her vision is blurred and

she's crying, she slowly crawls to her phone and presses enter.

after doing so she turns around to face the ceiling but all we see

is the killer's mask. in the background is the phone saying “this is

the emergency services, what is your emergency?” and at the same

time she's crying and begging for the killer not to kill her. The

killer raises his blade and we hear the victim saying “please… no…

no…” as the killer brings the blade down and the screen goes black

and the movie name appears, in the background, all we hear is the

girls scream
