Flap Wheel Flap wheels have been used since the 1960 for an easy way to sand wood components and furniture parts without having to change the sanding head each time a new profile had to be sanded. Flap Wheels are used for aggressive sanding in the coarser grits and fine sanding in the finer grits. 2" Flap Wheel complete with hub and universal flange for any size arbor. 1/4" to 2" arbor size. 28 segment brush/abrasive segments Grit 100. The p 100 grit can remove light knife marks on a molding and break sharp edges on a profile before a finer grit is used and stain and sealer coat is applied. If you want to use this for sanding edges it will also work well for this job. The final sanding before stain and sealer is often what people use it for. Sanding the part with Flap Wheels cleans up the work piece and sands off the fine wood fibers that are in the top of the wood. The other advantage is less consumption of sealer coat, as the fibers are gone and cannot absorbed the sealer a smoother sealer is the result after sanding with a flap wheel before stain is applied. This style flap wheel is most often used for aggressive sanding jobs on un-finished wood or reclaimed wood where a strong grit needs to be used for removal of imperfections. The advantages to the flap wheels are the ability to contour to any sharp or profile without altering that sharp or profile. The grit 60 however will be able to alter profiles as its very course grit. You Can Get More Information Here: Flap Wheel Sander
