Gas phase filter is an equipment used for removing odors, unwanted gases and vapours from the environment,

which is not possible by using other categories of air filters. Gas phase filters are capable of arresting toxic gases,

which may X times smaller in size than the that of the smallest particle removed by HEPA filters.

Gas phase filters may be divided in two broader categories –

contaminant gases

• Combination Gas Phase Filters – Gas Phase Filters in which a chemical (e.g.: KMnO4) is impregnated into a filtration

media (e.g.: Zeolite, Activated Silica) for arresting hazardous gases and contaminants
