WHAT IS A VA?

V.A. is an acronym for Virtual Assistant.

N.B Personal Assis-tant that works from their own premises (virtually). They would be a self-employed sole trader, freelanc-er, or possibly op-erate as a multi V.A. Company.

Virtual Assistants offer a flexible way of working and have a multitude of skills including adminis-trative, finance and bookkeeping, start up support, marketing and sales along with event and trade show management and PR expertise. The expe-rience and expertise will vary from one assistant to another.

The “virtual” servic-es of an assistant, will mean that they can literally be based anywhere in the world. This may be something to consider if you have a UK company. Will you be able to contact your assistant when-ever you like, or will there be at time difference to take into account?

Your spare time (evenings and weekends) is a valuable thing, you can’t get it back once its gone, so take control of it, plan your time. You will soon fi nd that the more balanced your “you time” is, the more effective you will become in your business. Can you afford not to?

HIRE HAPPY SERVICESIf you are new to us, the best way to hire a virtual assistant is to contact us by phone or to drop a quick email with a contact number so that we may phone you back at your convenience. We will then discuss the job and provide a quotation and estimated completion time.

In all cases we require new requests for work by email so that we can enter it into our tracking system. We will acknowledge tasks received during working hours. We will then respond with a price and delivery time, which will form a contract under our terms and conditions.

Our usual offi ce hours are: Monday – Friday 8am - 4pm. However we are very fl exible, one of the benefi ts of running a virtual business is that we do not have to conform to the regularity of offi ce open hours.

PaymentsAll payments to Happy Hire are due within 14 days of receipt of invoice.Any additional offi ce expenses incurred will be charged at cost and billed separately. Such expenses include stationery, telephone calls, postage, couriers etc.Bulk printing will be outsourced and charged at cost and will be billed separately.

Delivery TimesWe recognise the importance of agreed deadlines to both you our client and to the effi ciency and success of our own business. We pride ourselves on doing everything we can to meet customer deadlines.

Rates and PackagesWe will regularly keep you up to date with progress of tasks and the number of hours used so far.Please note that we can offer tailor made services for each client, please contact us for a quotation. You can hire a virtual assistant by the hour, in blocks of hours or on a monthly basis.

Job CompletionPlease carefully check that the work has been done according to your requirements. We need you to let us know of any defects within 2 business days so that we may correct them. We will issue an invoice 2 business days after the job is fi nally completed.

Confi dentialityWe will at all times keep your data secure and at no time will it be discussed with third parties unless required as part of the task and agreed beforehand by the client.

DisclaimerWe shall not be liable for any losses you might sustain arising directly or indirectly from our work except when it is directly due to our negligence. This contract shall be governed by English Law.

PrivacyYou can be assured that all your work and all communications regarding it are treated with the utmost confi dentiality and discretion.

ABOUT ELLIEAfter obtaining my G.C.SE’s I worked in a family run café in Lon-don. This was a fast paced life starting work in the early hours and fi nishing late at night 7 days per week. Delivering excep-tional standards of care to all our customers. Whilst at the cafe I also studied for a BTEC in Business and Finance, excel-ling in the customer service and marketing side of the course.

My fi rst job took me to Thomas Cook Retail Travel, where after a few months I was trained up in the foreign exchange side as well as the domestic fl ights and of course all types of package holidays. I enjoyed the travel industry so I then continued my career and gained a highly sought after position at American Express arranging worldwide business travel (including fl ights, hotels, car hire etc) for key work-ers in the Oil Industry.

After fi ve years in the travel industry, I took time out to start a family, but not being able to sit still I started to run my own party planning business from home, setting up my e-commerce web-site and selling on platforms like Ebay too. I also help run a small construction company mainly typing estimates, invoices and doing the vat. I returned back into employment a few years later to work as a Meeting, Events & Coordinator within several or the large 4* hotels in Bournemouth.

From 2012 I worked at a national telecommunications company as a Marketing Executive, manag-ing Internal communications via email & intranet, also contributing to a number of press releases that were subsequently published in local papers and magazines.

I have gained a wealth of experience, not only within the travel industry, but in marketing and cus-tomer services.

My strengths are defi nitely my organisational skills, my hospitality and sales skills, combined with the knowledge of marketing and basic graphic design work.
