* How To Combine External Data With Linked In's "Statistics" To Reveal Insights

Insights:•NMGR's Top 5 U.S. metro areas pretty much match the population dis-tiribution of the U.S. (see map) but over skew vs. market research jobs inthose regions (see bar graph). (E.g., metroNYC = 12% of group v. 8.1%of all market research jobs, San Francisco = 5% of group v. 2.6% of allmarket research jobs.•NMGR under-skews for Wash. D.C., Phila., Pa., & Minneapolis, Minn. All have ~3.0% of market research jobs, but less than 3% of NMGR.•NMGR's skew may match LI's geographic skew for its U.S. users.Reportedly LI skews heavy with members from regions with a large num-ber of technology & internet businesses, such as metro San Fran,Boston & NYC.Actions:•As a result of geographic under skew, NMGR may be missing impor-tant members of the market research community in D.C., Phila. & Minn.& other regions.•NMGR should develop campaigns to identify key members of the mar-ket research community with & without LI profiles in under-representedregions & invite them to join the group, & LI if needed.E•S•Q Unlimited--Analysis• Insight• Action!Ready to make better marketing decisions?ContactBruce E.
