The Institute for the Development of Social Investment - IDIS
• Founded in 1999, IDIS is a civil society organization of public interest pioneer on supporting philanthropists – social investors – in Brazil and Latin America.
• IDIS engages wealthy families and individuals, companies and communities in strategic actions that promote social changes, contributing to reduces the social inequalities in the region.
• We develop and offer to social investors innovative and effective ways of giving.

donated over US$ 260 million
in 2006.
Promoted private social investment, generating knowledge and new
methodologies, disseminated to over 16.000 people through
20 seminars and conferences, publication, workshops and courses.

Since 2005 IDIS became partner of Charities Aid Foundation (CAF),
supporting work in Latin America, and has cooperation agreements with International Business Leader
Forum (IBLF) and Canadian Public Health Association.
