• Glass– Throw 600 tons per day – Only 1- 2 % are recycled– No benefit, government just leave it.. – Hotel, bar… (voluntary)– Some organizations need government support

(just lend them some places to collect glass)• passive , even reject!

– One year recycle glass program for testing in 6 estate (start at December, 2010

• In public housing estate ->relay on NGO : Example : 綠樂無窮在屋村 (5 years education program, 2005-2010)

• In private housing estate->All relay on themselves->No mandatory requirement

Food waste

• Food Waste Recycling Partnership Scheme started at June 1, 2010

• Funding scheme on domestic food waste reduction and recycling started at July 4,2011

• Voluntary->All these projects relay on NGO again!• Two Organic Waste Treatment Facilities->Still a “plan”
