Enable notify-me sign-ups via the Manager PanelThe CSR manages how his inventory is displayed on the web store via the Manager Panel. To enable the notify-me message and sign-up option on the web store, the CSR must uncheck the ‘Allow Back Orders’ option. If it is checked, customers would be able to place orders even when a product is out-of-stock, and the notify-me sign-up message would not be displayed. The CSR also determines the count of emails to be sent to a customer via the Global Setup screen in the Manager Panel.

Out-of-stock items display notify-me optionThe product display page of an out-of-stock item displays a clickable message informing the customer of the non-availability of that item. Clicking the message launches a pop-up where the customer provides his email address. The notification emails would be sent to the customer at this address.

View all notify me sign upsA list of all customers who have signed up to receive notification emails is displayed in the Manager Panel. Once a product becomes available, the CSR chooses customers to send notification emails to.

Send emails via batch processThe CSR chooses individual customers or sends bulk emails to all customers. A batch process runs upon clicking the notify customers link, and emails are sent to the customer’s registered email.

Notification email sent to customer inboxWhen the batch process runs as explained earlier, an email is sent to the customer’s inbox informing him about the availability of the product. It is advisable to include a link to the said product, along with links to other related products.

Edit notification email template It is possible to edit the notification email template via the Manager Panel to include any customized message, or promotional material as and when required. This gives the CSR a chance to recommend and market relevant items to a particular customer or group of customers.

Track sent emails via Manager PanelThe Manager Panel also tracks all notification emails sent to customers and records them against individual customers. Clicking on an individual customer record line would display the email trail as seen in the screenshot.

Download regular activity reports The Manager Panel allows you to download reports of all notify-me sign up activity in your preferred file format. The CSR may filter his reports according to SKUs, products, sign up count, notification sent, etc. as per his requirements.
