Purpose

The purpose of this policy & procedure is to ensure compliance with legal,

contractual & organisational requirements for the management of information security. Alex Clapson T/A Talkworks Training & Development Ltd. will ensure that all information is protected against unnecessary risk so that it may continue to deliver

its services.

Information Security is the practice of securing information & managing risks

related to:

• the handling of data

(i.e. the processing, transfer & storage of information) • the systems and processes used to handle data

(i.e. equipment, storage, access, practices etc)

to handle, process, store & protect Information is integral to its business & essential to all parts of its operational, administrative & management functions. The role of information security ensures that users have access to the information they require

in order to carry out their work. Any breach in the confidentiality, integrity or availability of information could prevent Alex Clapson T/A Talkworks Training &

Development Ltd. from functioning effectively & efficiently & any loss or unauthorised disclosure of information has the potential to damage Alex Clapson T/A Talkworks Training & Development Ltd. reputation or cause financial loss. In order to reduce

these risks, information security must be an integral part of information management, whether the information is held in electronic or hard-copy form.
