Conference Overview

Drucker, the father of modern marketing.

As markets in developed world are

increasingly becoming saturated, businesses

are focusing on emerging markets These

markets provide enormous opportunities for

marketers who can customize and

contextualize market offerings to specific,

localized needs of customers in these

economically and culturally diverse regions.

Therefore, marketers have to intensify their

imagination and innovations in their

marketing strategies for emerging markets

for understanding and serving these markets

in a better way. Organizations that are

innovative and adaptable to such changing

global scenario, can only sustain for longer

period of time.

It is against this backdrop that this

International Conference on ‘Innovative

Marketing Strategies for Emerging Markets

– What’s Next?’ focuses on challenges and

opportunities faced by marketers for being

innovative and successful in the fast-growing

emerging markets. It would provide a

platform to the participants for deliberating

Call for Papers

Conceptual and Empirical papers on the sub-themes areinvited from academicians, researchers, corporateexecutives, and students. Authors are invited to submitoriginal unpublished manuscripts that demonstratecurrent research on the topics of the Conference.

Guidelines for Paper

Abstract

Abstracts should be sent as a soft copy (MS Word 2007)through email to [email protected]. The authorsshould clearly mention under what sub-theme of theconference the abstract is to be included. The detailedguidelines are given below:

Length 300 to 500 words excluding title/coverpage

Margins 2.5 cm or 1 inch

An abstract in the prescribed format should reach the

conference committee not later than November 30, 2012.

The authors will be notified of acceptance by December

10, 2012.

Full Paper

The authors, whose abstract is selected, should submit

the full paper by January 10, 2013, to samaroh2013@

ssim.ac.in. The full paper must include a clear

indication of the objective(s) of research, methodology,

major f indings, implications, and key references. The

guidelines for full paper submission are as follows:

Max. Length 5000 words excluding title/cover page

Review and AcceptanceAll papers submitted for the conference will be evaluatedthrough a double blind review by expert reviewers. Theywill be reviewed for their originality, clarity and relevanceto the theme. The authors also have to ensure that theirwork is original as their contributions will be tested forplagiarism. Acceptance or rejection of full paper will bepurely based on the policy of the conference committeeand the same will be intimated to authors.

Publication of PapersAccepted conference papers will also be published asproceedings in the form of a book with ISBN and will begiven to all registered participants. Select paperspresented at the conference will also be chosen andpublished in SUGYAAN, management journal of SivaSivani Institute of Management (ISSN – 0975 – 4032).

AccommodationThe participants will have to make their own arrangementsfor stay during the conference. However, the conferencecommittee will provide a list of hotels in the twin cities ofHyderabad and Secunderabad. For those desiring to stayat the campus, modest accommodation in student hostelscould be arranged at a nominal charge of Rs. 550 per

day per person (Including Breakfast & Dinner), subject toavailability and prior intimation.

RegistrationConference participants should pay the registration feesby Demand Draft, payable at Hyderabad and drawn infavor of ‘Siva Sivani Institute of Management’. Theregistration fees must reach conference committee byJanuary 15, 2013. A 15% reduction in the registration feeswill be given for a team of three or more candidates fromthe same organization; also there is an Early Bird offer of10 % discount for registering on or before 31st Dec 2012.
