Extension
Extension for written work will not normally be granted unless there are sufficient grounds for an

Affairs Office or the professor in person)
- Unexpected family crisis
- Unexpected demands made by virtue of the cultural context or workplace demands faced by the
student.
Please note that the extension needs to be sought before the due date.
If your professor does grant you an extension, it is important to ensure that;
- The Student signs and dates the Extension Request Form.
- The Lecture signs and dates the Extension Request Form.
- The student can obtain the forms from Academic Affairs Office to be filled out and returned along
with all copies of original documents.
Work not Submitted
If you do not submit an assignment (an examination) by the due date, you should arrange to explain
to the lecturer, prior to the due date for the assignment, why the work has not been submitted. If the
lecturer is satisfied with your explanation, you will be awarded an incomplete grade (I). When you
eventually submit the assignment, it can only be awarded a Pass grade (P).
The extended time cannot exceed four weeks from the end of the term. If you do not submit an
assignment by the due date, an “I” will be changed to an “F”.
