• Xsensio develops next-generation Lab-on-Skin wearable

devices that uniquely exploit biochemical information at

the surface of our skin, providing unprecedented real-

time information about our health and wellness, in a

simple, non-invasive way.

• Xsensio intelligent stamps rely on a unique highly-

miniaturized nanotech sensing platform: Compared to

existing solutions that rely on electrochemistry, Xsensio’s

sensing technology platform is 10’000x smaller in size,

and can achieve attomolar concentrations.

• In 2015, Intel demonstrated the ProGlove on its stand at

the CEBIT. The sensor-based smart glove can boost

productivity for manufacturing and logistics jobs by

enabling manual workers to get things done faster.

• The glove uses wireless, scanning and sensing

technologies so it can collect data that can be analyzed to

improve things like production and inventory

management.

• ProGlove can be used for automated, hands-free

scanning of goods; monitoring and training of

workflow sequences; identification of tools and

parts to avoid incorrect usage; and to deliver 100

• Smart Lens is meant for diabetics who need constant

monitoring of their blood sugar level. Currently, such

patients use blood testing – using a needle to get a drop

of their blood and then measure the glucose level.

• The smart lens could be used in L&H insurance. Once

patient data is collected and analyzed, the effect of the

Smart Lens on the patient’s health becomes quantifiable.

This will enable insurers to price their products more

accurately and thus minimize risk.

• “Smart Lens” monitors the glucose level frequently

and sends the data to the smartphone via a built-in

wireless chip.

• In combination with predictive analytics, “smart

lens” will be much faster in detecting abnormalities

and can send an alarm (e.g. email, 911).

• Picavi is a solution provider for in-house ogistics. After

offering pick-by-light and pick-by-voice solutions, they

now managed to integrate augmented reality into their

portfolio.

• Logcom, provider of Picavi, offers tailor-made logistics

solutions to companies with high packing density, e.g. in

fast moving consumer goods (FMCG) industries.

• The solution runs on Android. Nevertheless, it is

developed independently from software and hardware

• Picavi’s Pick-by-Vision solution, based on Head

Mounted Displays (HMD), is already in operational

use with several companies in Germany. It allows

workers to work more efficiently (18%), transparent

• In 2014, Vandrico Solutions announced that it will be

working on a project to bring world’s first SmartGlass

application to the mining sector.

• In 2016, they present a complete suite of software tools

that provides the right information to underground

miners; in addition to the initial project idea, Vandrico

uses SmartWatches to provide workers with additional

information.

• Connected Miner allows Operations Management

to have 3D visualization of people, sensors and

vehicles underground. It adds an extra dimension to

safety, communications and control. All events, and

their associated context, are logged for analysis.
