(your response) “That’s OK we are promoting something you are may already be buying,we are offering better coffee for less than grocery prices. We sure would appreciate your help”.

(prospect)…..“I don’t have any money”……

(your response) “That’s OK you can pay by credit card or check on line and receive your coffee in a couple of days. We sure would appreciate your help.”

(prospect) “I do not drink coffee”……(your response) “That’s OK premium coffee makes a wonderful gift and you can be helping out a good cause at the same time.”

(If all else fails…..down sell to a half pound for $5.00.This is often an emotional relief to the prospect by reducing to a less expensive gift. Don’t be a sissy at the close...take at least 3 no’s before moving on to your next contributor.)

(prospect)…. “I understand your situation (drop your head in defeat and pull out a half pound bag) “can you help me out with a small donation of $5.00 dollars for a half pound of terrific coffee” Regardless of the outcome always conclude with a polite “Thank You”.

Special Note: Have your team practice the sales script and watch your sales soar!!!Everyone loves to be sold by a good sales person especially a child that is working hard for a cause.Use this script on the phone for E-Commerce orders and even have the script in the hands of the kidsparticipating in the field.
