Marketing and business development freelancer Description of role Open To Create... is a creativity, innovation and enterprise development social business. We are looking to recruit a Marketing and business development freelance professional who will develop and implement marketing strategies and action plans with ambitions to grow beyond just targets. Our aim for the 12 month contract is to increase the company's profile and bottom line across a web, social media platforms and selected offline tools to reach out to core audiences increasing sales and repeat clients. The marketing and business development freelancer will work in partnership with the Director, Anna B. Sexton Key outputs/goals for this contract, in order of priority; 1. Working to develop a sound, practical and target driven Marketing strategy and working plan to include key tools for implementation; A updated Wordpress website linked to hosting package (already in place) and Google SEO measurement tools Parallel social media platform refinement to achieve more targeted promotion of Open To Create... during a time of re-branding and segmenting for core client groups Increase sales via updated website, other online ticket sales sites i.e Eventbrite, Social Belly and support in the development of printed materials i.e. A4 sales brochure, postcard flyers, case study template Other areas of work requiring development; 1. Research and uploading engaging content the new website/blog in relaunch and test period 2. Engaging in authentic conversations with our followers to increase brand followers, new paying clients and repeat purchaser 3. Co-designing and leading on the delivery of campaign ideas to broaden the reach of the new website/blog in relaunch and test period; Current presence www.opentocreate.com https://annabsexton.wordpress.com/ Activities to be completed within your role; Marketing strategy, planning and implementation to include Acting as overall support in the coordination and management of the website re-design and blogs Creating on and offline case studies (using a template) to support sales activities Writing creative copy for website, blog, social media postings Leading on of monthly reporting across social media platforms Co-design and management of our weekly social media schedule Co-design and management our monthly newsletters following the monthly themes Attending weekly meetings (can be over the phone or Skype) to review progress of work and the placement progress Attending meetings with designers/web designers and other clients and stakeholders, when relevant Scanning and uploading Open To Create... and related blog images Simple, accurate and shareable record keeping Other day to day admin duties linked to smooth running of the contract

You will be able to demonstrate the following competencies

• A positive outgoing, can-do attitude with a willingness to go the extra mile and learn quickly • Great at creating and closing sales of all kinds • Open and clear communication skills – written and spoken, with a developing confidence

over the phone to build relationships • Great organisational skills to manage multiple things at once and deliver work to deadlines

with a minimum of supervision • Great attention to detail, especially with written work • Creative thinking, coming up with idea that are outside the box and do not follow the rules • You get stuff done, in fact you are already coming up with ideas already • You are open about what you do and don't know

You will be able to demonstrate the following experience, skills and interests;

• Qualifications to support your work track record in an art, business, media studies and/or marketing related setting.

• Demonstrable interests and experience (freelance, PAYE or voluntary) in the arts, education and / or marketing for business sectors.

• Portfolio of past marketing and business development campaigns and evidence you made something happen or made a real difference to a company you've worked or volunteered for

• A digital-native approach to MS Office, Web Analytics, social media, Mailchimp, and blog CMSs

• Creative copy writing skills that has flare and easy going personal tone • Photoshop (or similar packages) and scanning knowledge

• Open To Create... is a creativity, innovation and enterprise development social business. • We have been running for 4 years and are in the process of re-branding, re-defining our

core client markets/audiences and are excited about taking on new associate trainers for our 3 x 3 Creative Business Nuts & Bolts workshops.

• We work with creative coaching, enterprise mentoring and creative thinking tools to enliven and sustain the spaces where people and creativity collides.

• We offer in consultancy and team away day packages within the museums and art gallery sectors such as The V&A, G Adventures and Hackney Museum.

• Our education and learning clients include London South Bank University, University of East London, London School of Economics and Idea Stores.

• Our work in these spaces takes the form of programme co-design, co-curation for one off events or longer festivals and service development.

• Our individual clients are all creative practitioners in some way shape or form - they maybe artists, writers, musicians or actors. Whatever their creative trade they are seeking to be more confident, motivated and financially sustainable.

Open To Create... is an equal opportunities social business During work at the LSBU Clarence Centre we can offer fully accessible working environment i.e. there is ground floor access and lifts provided. During the contract you will be needed to come to the Open To Create... a home based business; we are currently located on the 1st floor without lift access. The Director/Founder has dyslexia and is used to and happy to make reasonable adjustments as required. We have a track record of working with a range of learning styles, needs and people with lived experience of long term illness and lived experience of mental health. Contract fee: £6,500

Payable in monthly instalments on receipt of invoice including evidence you are a registered freelancer or Ltd. Company.

Contract length: 12 months Av. Days per week expected: 1.5 days Locations: Flexible between Open To Create… live/work office, hub office

space in SE1 and/or your own office Additional perks: For each month worked a 1 hour coaching session, access to

Open To Create… events and training programmes Criteria for application:

1. Current CV including LinkedIn profile link 2. No more than 3-page cover letter stating how your

experience matches our needs with two current clients and/or employers as references (state if we may contact prior to interview).

3. An outline 1 page plan for how you would deliver the contract over the 12 months
