SE and SE1 customers will continue to receive Premier Support for existing licenses through the terminal
release 12.1.0.1. until September 1st, 2016.

For release 11.2.0.4 of SE and SE1 this is is currently within Extended Support.
The Extended Support fees have been waived for the first year of Extended Support until January 2016.

Check List•Check your servers have only 2 sockets or less
•If using NUPS and SE then check you are still within
the newly set minimums if you migrate.
•If using RAC make sure the 2 nodes are only
running 2 sockets in total not the 4 as was allowed
before.

In a nutshell•Oracle Database Standard Edition 2 (SE2 12.1.0.2) will
replace SE and SE1
•SE2 will be limited to 2 socket servers
•SE customers migrate for 'free'
•SE1 customers pay 20% lift on support
•If using NUPs it’s now 10 NUPs min per server
•Seek independent advice before migrating
