Foreword

I share all what I believe in.I believe, so I share.

I think that the change comes from every single person.I believe that if you give, you will get.

I believe that when you give, you shouldn’t care about receiving.

Foreword

Crisis.

Financial crisis. Economic. Political. Personal. Moral, immoral, umoral….

Everybody talks about it. Few people face it.

Well. Now, stop it.

1. Stop Crying

Stop Crying. Basta stracciarsi le vesti, as we say in Italian.

We reached the lifeboat (and we don’t know if it happened by chance or because we were worth it), so

pleasestop staring the sinking Titanic.

Let’s try to understand where’s the shore, who’s on the lifeboat with us. And in which direction we have to row.

2. Crisis = Opportunity

Crisis everywhere? Well! Who wins?

The one who gets before the others!

Let’s try to be the ones who outpace the others. Starting by reinventing ourselves.

The world has changed? Well, we’ll change as well! Let’s gain new knowledge, new qualifications, new specializations.

LET’S BECOME UNIQUE.

3. Look around

That is, learn to know and recognize your territory. Two examples:

after a shipwreck, you land in an unknown island. You have to look for drinking water, fruit, fish, because you have to survive….

after an earthquake, you need to understand which buildings are safe and those who aren’t.

4. What’s your Territory?

Ok, but how do I define my Territory? A radius of 10, 20, 30 km?

Or maybe my territory gets to my facebook friend Jim’s home, in Thailand??

Where you move, there is your Territory. It’s no more 3D, you have to add another dimension: the web.

5. Create a Facebook Page

I know a lot of people – even friends – that don’t like Facebook, so they just don’t use it.

Intrusive. Conforming. Depersonalizing. They’re exactly the same that – some 15 years ago – didn’t want to use

the cell phone. Or the ones that - 10 years ago – didn’t want to hear avout Internet.

They’re Dinosaurs. And they risk to end the same way.

If you have something to say, then let your voice be heard; start from Facebook.

Google “create a page on facebook”. Follow the instructions. Done.

6. Create a Blog

The web evolves FAST. We don’t know which social media will prevail: facebook, twitter, foursquare, blogs, or maybe something

else…The communication has changed: it’s faster, more direct, easier,

more CREDIBLE, beacuase it comes from your friends, it’s already been filtered from somebody you trust.

Be there.

7. Take care of your contacts

I said contacts for friends, customers, associates, acquaintances, friend of our friends…all of them!

Word of Mouth is still the only advertising media that keeps on being extremely credible.

You have to be useful and available

for your Network: be their meeting point, the go-between for new

opportunities for both of you…

8. Share!!!

Classic objection: if I share my knowledge for free, I won’t get paid for what I do! This is WRONG!

If what you share is Yours, honest and of good quality, then you’ll start drawing people to you.

That’s step one. And those who’ll need your services, will come looking for you

BECAUSE HE ALREADY KNOWS YOU! I’ll never stop repeating. Sharing is the new rich.

If I know something more, I HAVE TO share it with my network.

Otherwise, we might as well stay in the cave…..

9. Learn

One of things that have changed is Training. Training doesn’t equal to school:

it’s LIFE LONG. Today Training is continuous, self-sufficient, often free, anyway,

easily accessible to everybody.Let’s take this chance.

There are thousands of sources available on the net (Open University on Itunes, Scribd, Slideshare, only to name the universally

known) which offer informations in all available formats.

10. Create. Change. Grow.
