SEICOM SPORTS PARQUET "NEWS from construction sites 2013"
The school gym within Secondary School "Besozzi" was inaugurated in March 2009. The
basement was concrete - too stiff - so it was necessary to create a flexible surface with
a sports parquet fulfilling all current EN 14904 provisions.
In just 7 days we have installed 1.000 m2 of sports parquet model Sondrio 1 .

Our model Sondrio 1 is suitable especially in case of multi-
purpose sports facilities since flexibility is combined with a
great solidity of the whole system.
This solution has passed the test of resistance under a
rolling load according to EN 1569 up to 3.000
Newton (certified by authorized testing institute) and
even with a load of 5.000 Newton the test showed that
tongue and groove connection of the parquet elements did
not break, as underlined by the test report issued by Otto-
Graf Institute (Stuttgart University). Please note that EN 1569
testing procedure sets a rolling load of 1.500 Newton;
model Sondrio 1 therefore withstands a double load and
even higher.

Hevea rubber wood solid sports parquet is simply nailed to a continuous plywood panel;
flexibility is granted by the elastic polyurethane support (PUR), which is totally made of
recycled materials to protect environment. To complete it all: hatches for volleyball
posts and door connections, skirting board and access ramps approved by Seicom.
In the municipal gym of the Secondary School "Besozzi" You regularly have FREESTYLE in-
line skating; this requires a skating finishing treatment for the sports parquet surface. Even
this gym has been treated with the high-performance ST SKATING lacquer developed by
Seicom; this treatment will allow roller skating practice without compromising friction and
specular gloss EN ISO 2813.

Model Sondrio 1 is supplied together with DECLARATION of PERFORMANCE (DOP) N°
102013 (European Regulation N. 305/2011 CPR-Construction Product Regulation) and with
ALLIANZ RAS warranty policy (ten years validity) just like all other products manufactured
by our Company.

Thanks to the elastic sports parquet approved by FIBA
and certified according to EN 14904, the school
gym "Besozzi" has totally changed its look. Now it's
much more functional, with an obvious structure
improvement, to both professional and occasional
users' benefit.
