Passive House Minnesota promotes the Passive House building energy standard through public outreach, education, support of industry professionals and advocacy.

Vision

We are motivated by: the long-term protection of the environment and climate; the promotion of sustainability, quality, and durability in building construction; the creation of a built environment that is healthy for its inhabitants; the advancement of energy independence and the reduction of operating costs for building occupants and owners. To support these values, the Passive House Alliance serves the Passive House community and promotes the use and adoption of Passive House strategies, tools and standards.

Certification

Certified Passive House Consultant Training

• Typically a series of 3, 3-day sessions• Significant emphasis on PHPP training• Taught by Katrin Klingenberg and selected Guests• 2011 Schedule is being finalized• $695 per phase• Need to have a copy of the PHPP

• $225 per license• $125 if accepted and attending training program

Certified Passive House Consultant Exam

• Can be taken after completion of the training courses• Open book test, no programmable calculators• $250 per attempt
