Innovative Participation Model
The ETTA is invited to:• Critically assess an idea for an innovative participation model and
• Consider becoming involved in the project in any mutually beneficial way

The Nexus of Forces
Cloud
The Nexus of Forces describes the convergence & mutual reinforcement of 4 independent trends. The forces combine to empower individuals as they interact
with each other and their information through well-designed ubiquitous technology.

Hardware
This model would be supported by 3 elements:
1. Server & Application Programming Interface
2. Mobile & Web Apps
3. Universally attachable hardware

Benefits of a ‘Player-Centric’ Model
<>=

• Social sharing
• Find places to play • Highly targeted ads
• Targeted coaching advice
• Statistics • Player rankings
• Score tracking
• Other?
The hardware component is called the “Pongle”. Like a dongle, the Pongle adds functionality to the object it attaches to, in this case the racket.
Benefits to theETTA
Increase the participation pool
Enhance the retention of those already participating
Close the gap between the informal players and the formal players

Assume the above elements get built. What core competencies would the ETTA consider contributing for the success of
this ‘player-centric’ participation model?
