How Are The Conventions of Our Film Like Real Thrillers?

Page 2: Presentation:

Lighting

• In our thriller we have use dark lighting, to give a scary illusion.

• The lighting in our film looks like some of the lighting used in the film ‘The House Of Wax’ 2005. Shown in the picture on the right.

Page 3: Presentation:

Narrative (The Story Line)

• Our story line was a horror story line, it involved a murder scene and someone being stalked.

• When we was making a proposal for our film, we had the film scream in mind.

Page 4: Presentation:

The Hero

• We left our film as a cliff hanger to make people want to continue to watch it.

• If we had to pick a hero then it would have been Eden at the end of the film. Much like the final girl in The House Of Wax.

The Villian

• The villian in our film is played by Haroldas, he become a stalker of Toni and kills her boyfriend who was played by Alfie.

• Harold represented the killer out of ‘The Hand That Rocks The Craddle’ 1992 because he will kill to get what he wants which is Toni.

Aspects Of Voilence

• Haroldas is the villian so he inflicts the violence on Alfie & Toni.

• The violence in out film refers to the violence in ‘Scream’ because of the struggle and the choice of weapon Harold uses is a knife.

Editing Techniques During The Killing.

• During our killing of Alfie, we used cut in shots of Harold with the knife.

• We also used continuity to create suspense and show a new scene was being created.

Suspenseful Music

• During our film we added suspenseful music at the times we wanted to create suspense.

• We cut music on the times where we wanted the suspense to be relieved.
