Philosophy and approach

• Our philosophy• Our approach• Integrity

Project Value Delivery philosophy

• “We empower organizations to be reliably successful in executing large, complex projects”:

– Our objective is a sustainable transformation for repeatable success – we give out knowledge

– We focus on large, complex projects (typically>100M$ and global)

– We don’t just advise, we do the work

Project Value Delivery Approach:a Cost-Effective Solution

• Focused interventions only by senior professionals recognized for their expertise and track record– Very high effectiveness and laser-focus on business needs– We do not replace resources - we leverage on internal

resources (involvement, training and coaching) to ensure sustainability

– Not a typical “Big Consulting Firm” invading with large teams and juniors

• We work on retainer basis – availability + pay-as-you-use – never full time– We remain available for discussions, emails, document

reviews…– You pay only for the time we spent face-to-face

Project Value DeliveryA Specific Business Model

• Our business model is:– Mostly part-time work on a medium-term basis so as

to see through the transformation and be effective (typically 25-50% time often more than 1 year)

– Specific more intense shorter term interventions for project startup support, project review etc.

– Training and coaching interventions

• Our business model is not:– Taking operational positions (which require full-time

even temporary): no interim management– Taking over management’s responsibilities– Providing a full team of consultants

Integrity is essential to us

• We are aware that our interventions expose us to confidential information– We make sure we keep our clients’ information confidential– We declare any possible conflict of interest in our proposals

and whenever they would arise– We minimize our involvement in pre-award stages and we

focus on project execution post-award– We do not have any commercial relationship with any

software provider so as to maintain our advisory independence

Project Start-up Support (1/2)

• We believe that proper project setup is key to project success

• PVD has developed a proprietary start-up process –effective and comprehensive, to respond to time constraints

• This process tackles both processes, systems, and project team formation– Use of effective workshops to shape project and

build project team– Logical flow from the definition of project

objectives to the review of the execution plan, definition of the baseline etc.
