    Under the new provision of the Patents Act, 1970 as amended by the Patents (Amendment) Act, 2005

    and Rules there under, Publication of the matter relating to Patents in the Official Gazette of India Part III,

    Section 2 has been discontinued and instead The Official Journal of the Patent Office is being published

    containing all the activities of The Patent Office such as publication of all the patent applications after 18th

    months , grant of patents & all other information in respect of the proceedings as required under the provisions

    of the Patents (Amendment) Act, 2005 and Rules thereunder on weekly basis on every Friday.

    The Journal is uploaded in the website every Friday. So Paper form and CD-ROM form of the Journal are

    discontinued from 01/01/2009.

    SPECIAL NOTICE

    Every effort is being taken to publish all the patent applications under section 11(A) of the Patents Act.

    However, if duplication of publication of any application is found, then earlier date of publication will be taken

    for the purpose of provisional protection for applicant and Patent Office will grant Patent not before six months

    (57) Abstract :

    In the casting industries, it is-a non written fact that the castings top surface & subsurface will have a collection of defects like sand &

    slag and gas related defects (like blow holes, pin hole porosity, scar) when compared with the bottom surface. To overcome this, the

    castings are being made with excess machining allowance at the top surface. But with this VASSUVENT-a horizontal venting

    technique for sand castings, we can produce sand castings without gas related defeds that too with nominal machining allowance. We

    can ensure quality not only on the top surface, but also throughout the castings. As per AIR FLOW DYDAMICS, when the air gets

    heated up, its density degreases causing the hot air goes upwards. This upward flow creates a low pressure in the space below which in

    turn draws hot gasses from under, thereby each VASSUVENT -a horizontal venting technique for sand castings, works like a chimney

    and sucks out the flue gasses from the mould cavity effectively. VASSUVENT,-a horizontal venting technique for sand castings,

    covers more surface area ofthe moulds than the existing vertical vents, there by the efficiency multiplies VASSUVENT-a horizontal

    venting technique for sand castings, will be more effective with bottom or parting line tangential gating.

    First time in India, the ProGa-LH technology has been developed in which the purest form of stool sediment can be obtained from

    various alimentary canal infected subjects/patients. In other words concentrated faeces can be collected for better results. The

    simplified, collated, compact and advanced version of Ritchies (1948) formol-ether technique for the concentration of faecal cysts,

    ova, and larvae (Ridley and Hawgood, 1956) in which protozoan cysts and helminthes ova can be detected in stools more frequently if

    it is concentrated with ProGa-LH before visualization, analysis and interpretation of results during investigation. ProGa-LH is the

    composed unit of 4-5 separate devices which were used in previous days for the same stool analysis procedure. The ProGa-LH has

    double stage strainer milieu. Large particles are rejected without obstructing many fold smaller pore than previously used. The

    recovery rate with this device is significantly advanced due to many fold higher number of mesh/ inch (Richies, 1948), (DS Ridley

    and BC Hawgood, 1955) as compared to previous methods.

    wastage of water, one has to wait and spend more time to collect the required amount of water. If flow of water is kept high to save the

    time the fast flow of water causes more wastage of water. Hence, water wastage takes place in both the cases. Moreover, in the time-

    saving mode, fast discharge of water causes more wastage of water in comparison to the water-saving mode. The present invention

    relates to a simple tap-attachment which receives water from a water tap mid collects it in a pot. The pot is an intermediate stage for

    temporary storage and flow control of water. When more water is required, the tap attachment is pushed or pressed which discharges

    water quickly and saves the time for collection of water The proposed tap-attachment discharges water continuously or

    discontinuously as per the requirement and avoids the wastage of water.

    The present invention generally relates to development of a thionine doped silica nano composite (TH@SiO2) based electrochemical

    biosensor for the detection of platelet-derived nanoparticles (PMPs) wherein TH@SiO2 was deposited on indium tin oxide (ITO)

    electrode by two-step electropolymerisation. Electrodes were fabricated with immobilized layers of TH@SiO2 and then nanosilica

    film was conjugated with a PAC1 antibody specifically targeted against PMPs by covalent bond. Simultaneously, amine modified

    mesoporous silica (NH2-MSNs), MCM-41 was synthesized and conjugated covalently with P-Selectin antibody (other specific marker

    of platelet activation) and then HRP was entrapped in the pores of NH2-MSNs. Results showed progressive increase in reduction

    current in cyclic voltammetry with increased counts of PMPs in electrolyte buffer. The sensor was highly specific for PMPs and did

    not identify microparticles originating from other cells.Thus this electrochemical biosensor is highly specific, sensitive, label-free and

    cost-effective tool for rapid point-of-care detection of PMPs at bed side.

    heat source such as coal or coke required for the sintering of the iron ore is saved, the melting point of sintered ores is lowered, and

    sintering efficiency can be improved.

    (57) Abstract :

    The present invention relates to a cleaning agent for improving the efficiency of a combustion engine, which has high cleaning

    efficiency for removing not only the scale and dust generated by a combustion engine, such as a generator turbine, and the body and

    parts of a machine which convert the energy of fluids such as water, gas, and steam into useful mechanical working power, but also

    for removing a variety of unnecessary solids and soot which is a carbon-based foreign material remaining after burning. Particularly,

    the cleaning agent of the present invention can be used even when a combustion engine or a machine is in operation to improve the

    efficiency of said machine and of a turbine, and uses the thermal stability of ethanol amines to improve lowtemperature cleaning

    performance at a temperature of -4 to 30C as well as high-temperature cleaning performance at a temperature of 30 to 450C. The

    cleaning agent for improving the efficiency of a combustion engine comprises: one or more ethanolamine selected from

    monoethanolamine, diethanolamine, and triethanolamine; and hydrogen peroxide.
