Fishland Piece Fishland has been serving speciality fish, veg and non-veg dishes for over 32 years. Their Pune restaurant takes its inspiration from the pristine tropical beaches of Mangalore in Karnataka, and many of the dishes reflect the style and tastes of the vibrant coastal city. The restaurant’s fish dishes are its pride and joy: fresh sea food is delivered and prepared each day to ensure that every customer can experience incredibly fresh food of the highest quality. Every aspect of Fishland’s menu – from the ingredients, to the spices used and the preparation of the dish – has been crafted to make it unique amongst its peers. The typical Bengali spices used in competitor’s restaurants are replaced with a special blend of distinctive Mangalorian spices, infusing every item on the menu with an exquisite, unique, and memorable taste. Speciality dishes include Crab Soup and Fish Chilli. All the food is prepared without using artificial colourings or preservatives, letting the true elements of the fresh sea food shine through. Despite their name, Fishland also has an extensive Veg and Non-Veg menu to choose from to ensure that any and all tastes can be catered to. Highlights including the Chicken 65 – soft chicken pieces tossed in spicy yoghurt and a red chilli marinade – or the Kerala Vegetable Stew – blanched vegetables cooked in fresh coconut milk and spices. A huge range of starters, thalis, soups, mains and sides are all available, ensuring that even the pickiest of eaters will find something they can enjoy – and the portion sizes are more than helpful, ensuring no one will be left hungry at the end of the night. The restaurant is also Halal friendly. Fishland’s pleasant ambiance is highlighted by its huge glass windows, which look especially attractive at night and provide a perfect seating area for people-watching diners. The restaurant is decorated with Konkani paintings that add an authentic style to the large dining area. Fishland is open every day from 11am to 3.30pm during the day and then again from 7pm until 11.30pm in the evening. Ample parking is available at the restaurant itself, and the restaurant is fully prepared to cater to up to 80 people at once. All major credit cards are accepted.
