Samsung’s Sales Promotion Methods And Examples

What is ‘‘Sales Promotion’’ ? In the simplest, Sales Promotion is all
actions for increase in sales by company.
Advertisement is show us the reasons to buy goods/services. On the other hand, Sales Promotion encourage to buy goods.
Some encouragement/Sales Promotion ways are; Free gifts, Discounted prices, Joint promotions, Free samples, Coupons, Competitons, Finance deals.. Etc.
To realize ways of Sales Promotion, we need activities. Some popular Sales Promotion activities;
Buy-One-Get-One-Free Customer Relationship
Management New Media Merchandising
Samsung invest very high prices for Sales Promotion,however, it has spent around $4.6 billion in 2013.
The use of sales promotions has been particularly high in Korea, where Samsung offered $888 million in sales promotions that actually exceeded the $661 million it spent on advertising in its home country.
Samsung’s Examples• Before the give examples, should
explain the strategy of multinational company’s like Samsung. However, Samsung offers Sales promotion for each country and they are different each other.
• This strategy’s reason is each country’s customers have different habits, hobbies and feeling. So it seems logically for customer relationship.

As a conclusion, company’s sales promotions sometimes can seem unreasonable but for long term it affects demands, brand awareness, customer confident.. Etc.
