• B. Company Historical Background

All of the entrepreneurs thinks and choose the business that is profitable and choose the business name that is

easily recognize by their customers.

IJEE Partners Junkshop is being operated by the four members of the group. The business name IJEE comes

from the first letter of our name, the business owners. The letter “I” from Irene Quiseo, “J” from Jane of Karla Jane

Arguelles, “E” from Esmenia De Leon, and “E” from Eduardo Agapay. We do not think far of other business name

but rather choose the first letter of our name for the business to easily recognize the owners of the business.

And of course, we do not form our business name if we don’t have a business. Before we form the business

name IJEE Partners Junkshop, we think first of the business we want to put up and we choose the junkshop business.

At first, hesitant to do because literally it is a disgusting business, you are collecting junks. But then we realized that

it is a profitable business. We realize that in junks you can easily make money, as they always say “there’s money in

junks”. It is a big help for the business owners because it is profitable and at the same time, it is a big help to the

community and the environment for the surroundings to become clean.

D. Company Existing Facilitation

a. For the Buying Station

For the facilities of the junkshop, it can operate a buying station with an area of at least 30 square meters. The buying station should

include the following:

•1 weighing scale (bascula)

•1 50 kg. counter/ hanging weighing scale

•Tools (steel saw, pliers, vice grips, screw drivers, hammer)

For the warehouse of the junkshop, a warehouse set up with an ample open area is advisable. The floor area should be

at least 100 square meters, portion of which covered area to be determined is based on demand in relation to the volume of the

materials.

The goals of this business are to make our community be productive, progressive, resourceful and a big help to save our

environment and for the society to have a good ambiance.

The objective of this business is to develop the individual to help keep the environment clean, and be a caring community.

Help the individual to recognize that even a trash makes cash.

Junkshop business is considered as a dirty business, literally say, but it gives services to other people and the whole

community and also to the environment. It gives services by collecting plastic bottles, cans, used papers and magazines, metals and

other junks.

Benefits, uniqueness and advantages

In junkshop business, both the owners and the customers will benefit from each other. The owners will benefit by having

their money easily because the customers will come to you to sell their bottles, cans, used papers and magazines, or even

appliances that cannot be used. The customers also benefit by having their money easily and it is a big help for them for their place

to become clean and at the same time they can have money by selling their junks because “there’s money in junks”.

Not only the owners and the customers will benefit for this business but also the environment. The junkshop business help

the environment by making it clean, make the environment to have a good view and it can help to lessen the pollution.

H. How will attract and keep your customer?

A good and fair service will keep and attract your customer. If there is no fraudulent in service, then the customer will come again to the junkshop to sell their junks. They give their trust on your service. Unlike in any other junkshop, when the customer will go to their junkshop to sell their junks like plastic bottles, cans or even metals, sometimes they did not tell the real price of it. Especially if the customers are children that do not even know the real price of the junks they are selling. Or sometimes in putting the junks on the weighing scale, they loosen the weighing scale for the junks to become heavy. Even those scavengers who are using pushcart (kariton), they loosen their weighing scale.

If your junkshop give fair service and trustworthy, then you will attract and keep your customer.

I. How you will meet the demand, beat your competitor and operate a profit?

In putting up a business, there’s always a regular customers. Sometimes there is a demand like increasing the price of

the junks as to competitor and a fair service can be a way to beat your competitor. Junkshop business has low capital, it is a

profitable business and easy to put up. As we all know junks are everywhere and supply of junks is not a problem because

many people are selling their junk that’s why you can easily operate a profit.

J. Growth Opportunities

Junkshop has a low capital but it is a profitable business that’s why opportunity comes to entrepreneurs to put up this

kind of business. And because junks are everywhere, you can easily operate a profit. Junkshop is profitable and you can easily

get back your capital. And that’s why there is an opportunity to expand the business. They were putting up branches of

junkshop in other location. And also there is an opportunity to expand the business by putting up a scrap business. Supply of

this business is not a problem because it is also a junk. You can make product by recycling those junks, makes innovations and

it become a new product. Opportunity comes to those entrepreneurs if the service is fair and there is a hard work.

For the starting of the junkshop business, our target area is where the junkshop located. And since the

location of the “IJEE PARTNERS JUNKSHOP” is in Signal Village, this is our target area. Most of the people in Signal

Village may be classified as class C, but that doesn’t mean that the people in class C will only be our customer, even the

people in class A and class B can sell their junks.

3. Market Demography

All of the people can be our customer in junkshop business. It can be adults, teenagers, and children. But not

only the poor people can be our customers but also the rich people because our target are their junks.

4. Competition

In putting up a business, there’s always a competition. You are engage in competing with others. To ensure that

the customers will come to your junkshop, you will give them a good and quality service. When customers will come to

your shop to sell those things like bottles, cans or even metals, you should treat them well for them to come again to

your shop. And also give them a fair service so that they give trust on your service.

Strength – Abundance in supply. As we all know junk is everywhere. Supply is not a problem because many people are selling

their junks.

Weakness – Not everyday people have a lot of junks to sell. There is tendency to lessen the supply of junks to buy.
